MOGAMI 2893 × REAN Mini XLR × NEUTRIK 1/4″ TRS

This is a handmade replacement headphone cable for AKG studio headphones equipped with a 3-pin mini XLR connector.

It is built with Mogami 2893, a professional miniature Quad microphone cable, and REAN / NEUTRIK connectors:

• REAN RT3FC-B 3-pin female mini XLR connector for the headphone side

• NEUTRIK NP3X or NP3X-B 1/4″ TRS stereo phone plug for the source side

 

Mogami 2893 uses a 4-conductor Quad construction with OFC conductors and a shielded structure.

Its outer diameter is approx. 4.8 mm, making it more substantial than ultra-slim headphone cables while still remaining compact and flexible enough for practical studio use.

This version uses a full-size 1/4″ TRS plug, so it is ideal for connecting AKG headphones directly to audio interfaces, headphone amplifiers, mixers, studio headphone outputs, and other professional or semi-professional equipment.

Unlike using a small 3.5 mm plug with a screw-on or push-on adapter, this cable has a real NEUTRIK 1/4″ TRS plug installed directly on the cable.

Compared with our Mogami 2944 version, this 2893 version has a slightly fuller and more premium cable feel.

It is still flexible, but it is not intended to be the thinnest or lightest possible AKG replacement cable.

This cable is intended for users who want a carefully made, professional-grade replacement cable using a real Mogami miniature Quad cable and a genuine NEUTRIK 1/4″ TRS plug.
