NekoDensen Registered Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty Terms

Effective date: August 14, 2026

Important Notice

This is a limited warranty offered in addition to any warranty stated at the time of sale and any mandatory right or remedy available under applicable law.

Valid registration is required to obtain coverage under this voluntary registered warranty program. Registration is optional, but a product that has not been validly registered is not covered by this program.

1. Warranty Provider

This Warranty is provided by Yosuke Hashiba, doing business as NekoDensen Tokyo Japan, Japanese trade name ねこ電線 (“NekoDensen”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Business address:
4-36-18 Fujimidai, Nerima-ku
Tokyo 177-0032
Japan

Warranty and product-support contact:
support@nekodensen.com

2. Eligible Products

This Warranty applies only to an eligible completed cable assembly sold under the NekoDensen or USAGI-ELECTRONICS! name.

Eligible products may include standard and custom-made completed cable assemblies that were assembled and sold by NekoDensen through an Authorized Sales Channel.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, this Warranty does not cover:

  • bulk cable or cable sold by length as raw material;
  • loose connectors, parts, components, kits, or other unfinished goods;
  • used, second-hand, transferred, or resold products;
  • counterfeit products or products not assembled by NekoDensen;
  • products materially altered or improperly repaired after delivery; or
  • products purchased through an unauthorized third-party seller.

3. Eligible Purchaser

This Warranty is available only to the original purchaser of an eligible product.

It is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable to a subsequent owner, reseller, recipient, or other third party.

We may request reasonably acceptable proof of the original purchase when administering a registration or reviewing a warranty claim.

4. Eligible Purchase Date

The product must have been purchased new on or after February 1, 2025.

5. Authorized Sales Channels

An “Authorized Sales Channel” means:

  • nekodensen.com;
  • usagi-electronics.jp;
  • an official NekoDensen or USAGI-ELECTRONICS! seller account on eBay, Reverb, Etsy, Mercari, Yahoo! Flea Market, Coupang, or another online marketplace; or
  • another sales channel expressly identified by NekoDensen in writing as authorized.

The appearance of a marketplace name in the registration form does not mean that every seller using that marketplace is authorized.

6. Covered Locations

Eligibility is determined by the location to which the product was originally delivered, rather than the purchaser’s current residence or the product’s later location.

This registered warranty program is currently available for eligible products originally delivered to:

  • Japan;
  • the United States;
  • Canada, except Quebec;
  • a member country of the European Union or European Economic Area;
  • the United Kingdom;
  • New Zealand;
  • South Korea;
  • Hong Kong;
  • Macao; and
  • Taiwan.

This program is not currently available for products originally delivered to:

  • Quebec;
  • Australia;
  • mainland China; or
  • any other country or region not expressly listed as a Covered Location above.

A person in a location where this registered warranty program is unavailable may still contact us for a good-faith review of any practical product support that may reasonably be available.

This territorial limitation applies only to this voluntary registered warranty program. It does not affect any applicable statutory right, sales-channel protection, or warranty stated at the time of sale.

7. Registration Requirement

Valid product registration is a condition of coverage under this Warranty.

At present, no fixed registration deadline applies. However, registration must be completed:

  • by the original purchaser;
  • while the original purchaser still owns the product;
  • before a claim under this Warranty is submitted; and
  • using information that is accurate to the best of the purchaser’s knowledge.

Registration may require information concerning the product, original purchase, original delivery location, and Authorized Sales Channel.

Submitting a registration does not by itself establish that the product satisfies every eligibility requirement. We may verify submitted information and request proof of purchase or other reasonably necessary information.

8. Registration and Submission References

A reference number generated after submission identifies the corresponding form record.

For a Covered Location, a confirmation stating that warranty registration has been completed confirms that the submitted information has been recorded under this registered warranty program.

A Registration Reference:

  • is not proof that any future claim will be accepted;
  • does not replace proof of purchase where reasonably requested;
  • does not expand the scope of this Warranty; and
  • must not be transferred to another purchaser or product.

For a location where the registered warranty program is unavailable, any reference generated by the form is only a submission-tracking reference. It is not a Warranty Registration Reference and does not create warranty coverage.

9. Warranty Period

This Warranty continues for as long as the original purchaser owns the eligible product.

“Lifetime” refers to the original purchaser’s period of ownership of the eligible product. It does not refer to the natural lifetime of the purchaser, guarantee that the product will never wear out or fail, or extend the independent warranty or service life of a third-party component.

Coverage ends when the original purchaser sells, transfers, disposes of, or otherwise ceases to own the product.

10. What This Warranty Covers

This Warranty covers a failure caused by a defect in NekoDensen’s workmanship in assembling the eligible product during the Warranty Period and under normal, intended use.

Covered workmanship may include, where applicable:

  • soldering;
  • crimping;
  • conductor termination;
  • connector assembly;
  • strain-relief installation; and
  • other assembly work performed by NekoDensen.

A defect in a cable, connector, or other third-party component is not covered merely because the component was incorporated into a NekoDensen product. However, a resulting failure may be covered where the failure was caused by our assembly workmanship.

11. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this Warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear, aging, or gradual deterioration;
  • cosmetic changes that do not materially affect function;
  • misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, or improper storage;
  • use outside the product’s intended purpose or technical rating;
  • improper installation, connection, handling, or maintenance;
  • damage caused by another product, power source, electrical condition, environmental condition, or other external cause;
  • damage caused by an unauthorized or improper modification or repair;
  • loss, theft, or disappearance of the product;
  • damage occurring during shipping not arranged or authorized by us;
  • a defect originating solely in a third-party cable, connector, component, or material and unrelated to our workmanship;
  • inaccurate, incomplete, fraudulent, duplicate, or abusive registration or claim information; or
  • a product whose identity, purchase history, or eligibility cannot reasonably be verified.

A third-party repair or modification does not automatically cancel all coverage. However, we are not responsible for a failure caused by that repair or modification, or where it prevents reasonable inspection of the claimed workmanship defect.

12. How to Make a Claim

Before sending any product to us, contact:

support@nekodensen.com

Please provide, as reasonably applicable:

  • your Registration Reference;
  • your contact information;
  • a description of the product and claimed problem;
  • proof of the original purchase;
  • photographs or other information showing the problem; and
  • any other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

Do not ship a product to us unless we have provided return instructions.

We may require inspection of the product before determining whether the claim is covered.

13. Available Remedy

If we determine that a claim is covered, we will, at our reasonable option:

  • repair the product;
  • replace it with the same or a reasonably equivalent product; or
  • refund the original purchase price where repair or replacement is not reasonably practicable.

The selected remedy will satisfy our obligations under this Warranty to the extent permitted by applicable law.

A repaired or replacement product remains covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period while it remains owned by the original purchaser.

If the original purchase price is refunded, coverage for that product ends.

14. Shipping and Related Costs

Do not return a product without our prior instructions.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise:

  • the claimant is responsible for the cost and risk of sending the product to the address specified by us; and
  • if the claim is accepted, we will bear the reasonable standard cost of returning the repaired or replacement product to the claimant.

Customs duties, import charges, taxes, and similar charges will be handled as required by applicable law and the instructions provided for the claim.

15. Limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the remedies stated in these Terms are the exclusive remedies available under this voluntary Warranty.

We do not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Statutory Rights and Other Protections

This Warranty provides additional contractual protection. It does not replace, restrict, waive, or exclude:

  • a mandatory consumer right or remedy;
  • a warranty stated at the time of sale;
  • a right against the original seller;
  • an applicable payment-provider or sales-channel protection; or
  • any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where applicable law provides greater protection than these Terms, that law will prevail to the extent required.

17. Privacy

Personal information submitted for registration, warranty administration, or product support will be handled in accordance with the NekoDensen Privacy Policy:

An email address supplied through the warranty registration form will not be added to a marketing mailing list without separate consent.

18. Applicable Version and Changes

The version of these Terms in effect when a valid registration is completed will ordinarily govern that registration.

We may update these Terms prospectively to clarify administration, reflect legal requirements, or improve the program. We will not materially reduce the coverage of an existing valid registration unless required by applicable law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

The courts having jurisdiction over NekoDensen’s principal place of business in Tokyo, Japan, will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes concerning this Warranty.

This section does not deprive a consumer of the protection of any mandatory law or court jurisdiction applicable in the consumer’s location.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
